Congratulations to Nicole Piper for being selected as September’s Volunteer Spotlight!

Nicole has been a volunteer with Regional since June of 2016 when she helped volunteers trap and rescue a dog that was abandoned in Myers Park. Nicole is engaged to her fiancé Rich and they have two sweet Pittie girls, 7even (pronounced Seven) and Fiona.

We asked Nicole what made her decide to volunteer at Regional. She said “I love animals! Always have. I prefer to be around animals than humans and I love to be the voice for these innocent animals.”

We asked Nicole what the best part of being at Regional is. She said “I like being a part of the solution, instead of just ignoring it.  I have met so many amazing people at Regional who are exactly like me.”

Nicole what would you tell someone who is thinking about volunteering with Regional? “You won’t regret it! Seeing the condition some of the animals come to us in, nursing them back to health and then seeing them get adopted into amazing forever homes- there is no better feeling in the world than being a part of something like that!”

Thank you Nicole for your dedication and commitment to Regional and the animals we help!

You need to meet

Because they’re awesome (we’re only a little biased).
